TERMS AND CONDITIONS LEGAL C.J.G. Fire Safety Services has no legal powers, and there is no provision in law for C.J.G. services to relieve the "responsible person" of the responsibility. We provide advice on dealing with issues relating to Fire Safety. We have no powers to insist that advice is followed or implemented. Fire Risk Assessment carried out by C.J.G. Fire Safety Services, is based on the situation as seen, and the information you provide. That process will satisfy the “Fire Risk Assessment”, requirement referred to in the legislation. SAFETY Safety is a daily on going matter. The “Responsible Person” should constantly monitor the situation to ensure that policies and procedures generated as a result of the "Fire Risk Assessment" really are being implemented, and remain appropriate An apparently minor change in almost any aspect of the daily working environment, can alter the situation significantly, and there is a need for constant reappraisal. INSURANCE The activities of C.J.G. Services is supported by Professional indemnity and Public Liability Insurance. STRUCTURAL ALTERATIONS Structural alterations which may be necessary in the interests of fire safety, are usually subject to approval from the local authority building regulations and/or planning officers. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that the appropriate applications are made. Consultation can be carried out by C.J.G. Services on your behalf if requested. LIMITATIONS Advice given does not extend to process risk, except in respect of its effects on fire safety. Guarding of machinery, toxic and other risks to staff are specifically excluded. Advice relating to structure is in the context of the safety of people, and their ability to exit the building safely during the early stages of a fire. Matters relating to the structural stability of the building in the event of a prolonged fire is outside our remit. PAYMENT Payment
by cheque please, is due in full within thirty days of the invoice date.
