INITIAL SURVEY

I will visit your premises and carry out an initial survey. This will be followed by a written response. In the case of smaller premises requiring little work to satisfy the relevant standards, it will include remedial advice, and guidance regarding your on going responsibilities in respect of staff training, equipment maintenance, and record keeping. In some cases that may be all that will be required, and the reply package can be regarded as the “Fire Risk Assessment” report.

In larger more complex situations I will try to identify any significant hazard or shortcoming observed without delay. Natural progression will lead to an indication of the extent of the work which will need to be carried out in order to produce a comprehensive “Fire Risk Assessment “ for the premises.
